Bat House
Building Workshop
May 26, 2001 Bat House Workshop participants built 14 bat houses and boned up on their bat facts. One team reported that the colony of Mexican Free-tails living in their Spanish tile roof is of sufficient size that it takes them about 15 minutes to exit and is there all year round, which would indicate a small, local breeding population, contrary to popular literature indicating most of the bats migrate to the Central Texas Hillcountry to reproduce.
