S.M.a.T. Club
The newly formed Science Math and Technology Club, a special interest group within the Girl Scouts, met for a hands-on workshop in the lifecycle of the monarch butterfly. Each girl is rearing 7 caterpillars and when their butterflies emerge will then tag them for the University of Kansas' national Monarch Watch Program. Girl Scout troops from Del Rio, Uvalde, Carrizo Springs, and Eagle Pass will be tagging with the Nature Center during the month of September and October.
