The Master Gardeners of Huntsville/Walker County celebrated their second annual Monarch Festival and native plant sale. Their featured speaker was Nature Center Director, Carol Cullar, whose program Friday night, October 21st, open to the public, kicked off the widely attended event. More than 300 attended the Plant Sale and Monarch tagging event the next day. Their monarch display and butterfly house were a big hit. Ms. Cullar's tagging demonstration and informal lecture began at 2 p.m. and was attended by freely flying, migrating monarchs and about 20 youths, accompanied by many adults. |
